The birth of PLASTIQUÉ was a journey that started back in 2015 when I made the first piece of jewellery for myself. It was a bold statement piece, made entirely of plastic and I wore it everywhere. To my surprise, I started to get compliments for it and requests to purchase something similar. It was then that I realized that there was potential for something more.
I created a whole range of over 30 designs, all black and all plastic with no sterling silver findings. To my surprise, the collection was a huge success. I continued to create different ranges to go with each collection I created for my original business. When we shot for the collection, the models all had accessories to go with it. The jewellery was never created for retail purposes, other than at Christmas time or in open studio events.
As soon as I had created the first few pieces of PLASTIQUÉ, I knew that I was onto something special. The response was overwhelming, I knew that it was time to take PLASTIQUÉ to the next level.
