At PLASTIQUE By Siân, creativity knows no bounds! With a background in costume and textiles design, founder Siân Dorman brings her artistic vision to life through a wide range of commissions and collaborations. From large-scale sculptural installations to bespoke jewellery designs, we love working with individuals, communities, and organisations to create something truly unique.
One of our proudest commissions was the 3D Cumulus Cloud installation, created for Bruce Castle Museum and Archive as part of the 2021 Luke Howard Exhibition. This striking sculpture highlighted Siân’s ability to blend her costume design skills with innovative upcycled materials, creating an interactive piece of art.
We’ve also collaborated with local schools, such as West Green Primary School, where Siân led a collage workshop as part of the Trove Market Heritage Project. Using waste paper and cards, students crafted a piece of artwork celebrating their favourite places in Tottenham—an inspiring fusion of art, community, and sustainability.
PLASTIQUE’s collaborations extend beyond the visual arts, with custom made costumes for singers, dancers, and performers, using waste plastics and other reclaimed materials to design and create sculptural wearable art pieces. These creative partnerships showcase Siân’s talent for transforming discarded items into bold, imaginative pieces.
Our commissioned jewellery designs allow customers to bring their vision to life. One project involved a custom pair of earrings for a customer’s birthday. With a photo of her gold dress, we designed earrings to perfectly match her style and budget. Another commission featured lightning bolt earrings, where the customer was uncertain of the design. Siân crafted three options, allowing the customer to choose her favorite shape and size.
